Turn a tanzanite bead slowly under one light. Natural tanzanite is strongly pleochroic, so it shifts between blue and violet as the angle changes, and small natural inclusions differ from bead to bead. Glass looks the same from every side. How do I cleanse and care for tanzanite?

Tanzanite is softer than quartz and can split along one direction, so protect it from knocks and sudden temperature changes. Cleanse it with moonlight or sound, wipe it with a soft dry cloth, store it on its own in its pouch, and keep it away from perfume, lotion and chlorine.

US shipping is free on orders of $99 or more; otherwise it's a flat $8.99. Orders are processed in 1–3 business days and ship from Jiangsu, China with tracking, arriving in about 7–15 business days. Unworn items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days; the customer pays return postage.
