Cutting a sphere slices through the flat growth layers at an angle, so a straight phantom plane appears as a curved veil. Larger beads cut through more of each layer. That's why our 14.3mm and 16.3mm beads show fuller layers than the finer 6.6mm and 7.3mm multi-wraps.
